A popular dish in Nothern India, it’s rich in calcium and folate from the spinach and the perfect fish for vegetarians and non-veggies alike! Enjoy as a side dish or as your main meal, read below to learn for yourself.
Start off by boiling around 200 grams of chopped spinach in a large pan. While that’s boiling add 1 chopped onion, 15 grams of garlic, 15 grams of ginger & 1 tsp of cumin seeds to a little vegetable oil in a separate pan and fry. Add in your spices, red chilli powder (if you like it spicy!), salt to taste, 1tsp coriander powder, 1tsp cumin powder, 1tsp turmeric powder a pinch of kasuri methi and 150 grams of chopped tomatoes.
Drain your spinach, add it to the mixture and sautee a little to infuse the spinach with the flavours. While you sautee, cut your paneer (around 200 grams) into cubes and fry separately in a little vegetable oil until golden. Add the cubes to the spinach, apply a finishing touch of cream and enjoy!
